ICOVACS 2010

In this part you can find information about submissions, submission guidelines, poster guidelines and presentations.

Position Paper
ICOVAC 2011 is now also welcoming the submission of position papers whose deadline is scheduled to July 25. This category of papers will be shorter than regular submissions. A position paper presents an arguable opinion about one of the themes of the conference. The goal of a position paper is to inform the participants of recent research and practice without the need to present completed research work and/or validated results. (CLICK HERE FOR POSITION PAPER GUIDELINES)

Abstract Submissions
Abstracts should not exceed 200 words. Please send your abstracts in compliance with the ICOVACS2011 Submission Guide & Template. Under the abstract text, specify keywords and the topic(s) of the conference that you will focus on. No file attachment needed at this part.

You will have to register in our web before send the abstract (CLICK HERE FOR SUBMISSION)

Full Paper Submissions
Papers should not exceed 10 pages in length. They should be written as continuous expository narrative in a chapter or article style - not as lists of points or a PowerPoint presentation.

Papers will go through a blind review process and they may be rejected if (a) the content is deemed inappropriate for ICOVACS2011, (b) they are not written in acceptable English, or (c) they do not comply with the formatting requirements.

One can only appear as the author and/or co-author of 2 papers, at most. Please do not send more than 2 papers on which you appear as the primary author .

Please remember that only the presented papers are to be published in a fully refereed proceedings book. This means that if you are appointed for a presentation, you should be at the conference venue to present your paper, otherwise your paper will not be published. This also means that the style and structure of your text should be relatively formal. For instance, you should not submit a verbatim transcript of your oral presentation, such as 'Today I want to speak to you about ...'.

Papers should be thoroughly checked and proof-read before submission, both by the author and a critical editorial friend.

Submission Guide and Template
We require presenters to use ICOVACS2011 Submission Guide & Template in Microsoft Word for both their abstracts and full papers. We are not able to accept papers that have not used the template.

Submission Process
Completed papers should uploaded at our web. You will have to register in our web before send the abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is May 23, 2011.

Once your paper has been received and checked to ensure that corresponding files open you will be sent an official receipt notice via email. If you do not receive an official receipt confirmation within fifteen working days of submission please contact the conference secretariat immediately.

Transfer of Copyrights and Publishing Agreement
To be publishable all the papers presented at ICOVACS 2011  have to agree the copyright and publishing agreement during the submission process.

Oral Presentations
  • All speakers are required to prepare PowerPoint presentations on a memory stick or CD-ROM.
  • Technical support will be available to make sure that your presentation is functioning OK.

We recommend that you bring a backup presentation format to cover the possibility of luggage loss and/or incompatibility

Publication
All the papers will be published in a CD with ISBN and a book of abstracts of the conference will be published too.
Best papers will be selected and published in a special issue  of Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Journal JIEM - http://www.jiem.org/index.php/jiem.
